Mr. Seltzer is a Managing Director with The CenterCap Group with responsibility for marketing, originating, and executing M&A advisory and capital raising transactions with real estate investment banking clients. He has spent more than sixteen years in the financial services industry serving clients as an investment banker, corporate strategist and securities analyst and has been involved in more than $100 billion of mergers, acquisitions and restructuring transactions during his career.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Seltzer was previously a Managing Director with Lovell Partners LLC, an investment banking and consultancy boutique focused on debt and equity capital raising, mergers and acquisitions, and financial advisory engagements. He was formerly a Managing Director with Libertas Capital Americas Inc. where he focused on financial advisory, capital raising and general consultancy services for selected domestic and international clients.
Previously, Mr. Seltzer had been a Director in both the Global M&A Advisory and Resources and Energy groups at HSBC Securities (USA) Inc. responsible for U.S. cross-border advisory transactions as well as the oil and gas sector in the Americas. Prior to HSBC, Mr. Seltzer was a Vice President with The Royal Bank of Scotland focused on corporate strategy and the expansion of its Corporate Banking and Financial Markets businesses in North America. Mr. Seltzer was previously a senior banker with JPMorgan Chase & Co. and a member of its Global Mergers & Acquisitions group in both the U.S. and Europe. His experiences at JPMorgan included advisory assignments in the resources and energy, healthcare, consumer, retail, industrial, chemical, infrastructure, transportation, telecommunication, and media industries. Jason began his career focusing on fixed income and equity research with positions at Goldman Sachs Asset Management and Vector Securities International Inc.
Jason earned a M.B.A. as a Merit Scholar from The New York University Stern School of Business and a B.B.A. with Distinction from The University of Michigan. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and is a member of the New York Society of Security Analysts and the CFA Institute.
