Transaction Experience

We are a dedicated real estate advisory firm and are committed to serving the real estate industry.

The senior advisory team has been involved in  more than $100 billion of announced mergers and acquisition assignments and more than $35 billion of announced financing and capital raising assignments. Our team has represented both public and private companies and financial sponsors.

Mergers & Acquisitions.

Our senior advisory team has provided advisory expertise in sourcing, structuring and executing entity-level mergers, acquisitions, dispositions and recapitalizations, venture capital investments, joint venture transactions and recapitalizations of asset portfolios, real estate investments and development companies.

The transaction process is not an easy one for either the buyer or the seller, and while success is never guaranteed, good advice matters. On the buy-side, understanding the process, the market, valuation parameters and competitive dynamics are all important. On the sell-side, considerations such as how to position a client's business and how to navigate the negotiation process are fundamental. And good investors matter as well — we tap our deep investor relationships to bring only the most suitable interested parties to the table.

CenterCap is innovative and engaged in the entire process, from positioning a company to negotiating the deal. We have an expertise in bringing parties together and working through what some may consider deal breaking conflicts. We are meticulous in our upfront due diligence and market preparation and work towards creating an efficient process because that maximizes value.  We are confident that our clients benefit from the wealth of CenterCap transaction expertise.

Joint Ventures.

Joint ventures can take on many forms and more often than not require a level of creativity and experience to choose both the right partner and the right deal structure and deal terms that work for all parties involved.  At CenterCap, we understand the importance of the right partners and the right structures.   Clients retain CenterCap because of our experience orchestrating joint venture transactions but also because we add value by appropriately positioning the opportunity's potential, bringing the right counter-party to the table, and negotiating a transaction that makes sense for the client. CenterCap will not take a transaction to market without having fully vetted pre-market due diligence and financial underwriting. As part of our process strength, CenterCap ensures it can appropriately articulate the strengths of the client's business and growth potential to prospective counter-parties.

Capital Raising.

With any capital raising transaction, transaction expertise and breadth of investor relationships is paramount. Leveraging our big bank and principal investing backgrounds and extensive investor relationships, we have provided assistance to clients looking to raise capital to fund growth, acquisitions, and recapitalization.  For other clients, it has been about funding a start-up opportunity or to take equity out of the business.  The capital raising process is time and resource intensive, and working with a platform that understands your business and understands how to best position it to the investor community may mean the difference between success and failure.

Consulting Services.

We have provided a wide variety of consulting services to clients including pre-IPO services, start-up consulting, business planning, valuation and due diligence support.  Some clients come to us because they do not have a particular expertise in-house or do not have the time or resources to distract from their core businesses.   Others come to us as a precursor to a broader strategic initiative.   Leveraging CenterCap's expertise, clients are able to tap a seasoned platform for deeper insight and broader expertise than would otherwise be possible.  Understanding the broader industry backdrop, competitive landscape, recent transactions and investor sentiment is value enhancing but requires a depth and quality of market intelligence, a flow of information and real access to the relevant investor universe.
